The 2013 Season for Charlotte Youth Athletic Association

THE 2013 SEASON IS UPON US!!!

Hello CYAA-ers and welcome to another EXCITING season of CYAA baseball!!!  It is going to be a GREAT year down on our Hincher St fields and we look forward to helping your children experience another year of teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development and most importantly FUN!!!

This year our league is embarking upon a MAJOR initiative.  We are working to build a new facility at our fields that will house permanent bathrooms, concession stands and more storage space for our league's equipment.  This is our first step in raising the level of our league so we can continue to provide you - our participants - with the best quality Little League experience possible.

The entire Board of Directors, all of our League Commissions and our Coaches can hardly wait for another great year and we look forward to seeing everyone down at the fields.

Little League Field Dedicated to Hunter Resch

The name of a life cut very short will live on at a little league field in Charlotte.

The Charlotte Youth Athletic Associate Little League named one of its T-Ball fields "Hunter Resch Field." ***

Hunter's mother was on hand as a sign with his name and smiling picture was unveiled. He played two seasons with the league as a member of the Burlington Bees.

League members said that by dedicating the field in Hunter's name, he will always be a part of an extended family.

"This is a family-oriented league and as with any family member. You look after your family and we wanted to add his memory because he was part of our family and he will continue to be a part of our family, even if it's as a memory," said Brian Labigan, CYAA president.

In addition to the field dedication, Hunter's initials are printed on all player and coach uniforms across the league.
